Havrais original author born in 1930, relates his impressions of a kid, either in its main city Port of Le Havre and the prestigious transatlantic liners including the Normandie, a giant of the time and the fastest relay between the Old World and New York.
It tells in detail his discoveries, his astonishment at the call of the navy in 1938 and his memory on board the cruiser "Montcalm" which later participate in the liberation of Normandy and Provence.
