The Loods (Ligneous Plant EP)

Well, after my last two tickets a little more " slacks " I told myself a ticket more substantial needed ...

Band from Montreal The Loods is still in its infancy: they have more or less shows to their credit, they only have two songs on myspace and there is very little information available about them.

Nevertheless, I think they deserve our attention. The title track, "Ligneous Plant", is modeled in an ethereal pop, acoustic yet powerful. It is made of a mood a voice, a mix, and especially direct flights that hit the right place. The singer, Ludovic Alarie, remember how that Patrick Watson singing, mouth aside, for good control his words.

They have a side Fleet Foxes, a touch of Dirty Projectors, and perhaps a touch of Neutral Milk Hotel. Not forgetting The Antlers.

In sum, we can not miss.

For those who have a crush in the next two listening rooms (and I do not doubt), you can visit the art gallery "Yellow Fish" for the official launch of their EP tomorrow , Monday, Dec. 20.
