Bright Eyes or the unconditional love of a fan over

Allow me to deviate from the time a ticket, the guideline of this blog (discovery of the week) .. . because after one month without writing anything, a little back sources was needed.

There are some bands, these artists, who are so ingrained in us that we have for them unconditional love. In my case, Conor occupies this privileged position. I had the chance to meet three girls at 3 different times in my life, who shared with me as this strong feeling for the man.

I was 15 when I found Bright Eyes. He had just released the album Fevers and Mirrors. With music by Conor I fall asleep at night, sometimes a head full of dark thoughts, a little worried, as he did. It is at the whim of changing that Conor I grew up and lived my teenage years ... his writings as a mirror reminding me that I was not alone ... I dreamed of seeing a show but after missing my chance in 2002 ... 3 long years passed before I could have a second. On January 22, 2005 at the Spectrum, the crowd had made an appointment for a stunning spectacle: The first of the two first parts had to be carried out by Tilly and The Wall ... but they could be, then it CocoRosie whose mandate was to warm the audience ... a band I discovered and then I returned to see a few months later with Antony and the Johnsons.

Bright Eyes offers that evening a memorable supported throughout by their most complete album to date: "I'm Wide Awake It's Morning." It also benefits for the public to discover the Montreal Conor "engaged" with the song "When The President Talks to God". Very touching moments, "Lua" among others ... where the crowd is very quiet, and "First Day Of My Life" and the crowd sings with heart. We want more, and asks for more ...

And Conor is a generation that represents to us only four months later, already a strong new album "Digital Ash in a Digital Urn." The first part is provided by The Faint. One could certainly expect a different atmosphere during this show, and Conor was busy letting us understand. Already under the influence before going on stage, he interacted little with the public, and small moments "malaise" accumulate up to a climax: Man decides to stand on a "speaker" with his guitar but is so drunk (and probably powdered), he falls face first on the "stage". From that moment, we could clearly feel that the crowd had won ...

since Conor is never returned to Montreal despite frequent passages on the east coast. The announcement of his return in Bright Eyes (and a new album next February 15) is good news, once again overshadowed by the fact that it will move to Portland, Boston, New York Toronto to see him. Love is priceless. It remains still a glimmer of hope .... Coachella could include himself in his agenda this year.

that, I leave you with pictures of Conor at Coachella in 2005 (question to start get a little jealous), and also an old video of my favorite song from Bright Eyes .... time flies anyway!
